We love connecting with our customers and sharing what makes our ranch and our beef special. Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we get about how we raise our cattle, how to order, and what to expect when you visit the ranch. If you don’t see your question here, just ask — we’re always glad to help.
ABOUT OUR BEEF
Our cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, meaning they eat only grass and forage for their entire lives. They are never fed grain. From spring through fall, they graze rotationally on lush pastures, and during winter they enjoy high-quality hay grown right here on our ranch.
Both Angus and Wagyu cattle are world-renowned for their exceptional beef quality — and by combining the two, we’re able to capture the best of both breeds.
- Angus: Prized for its rich, traditional beef flavor, excellent growth efficiency, and consistent tenderness. Angus are hardy animals well suited to our Canadian climate and produce well-marbled beef with great texture.
- Wagyu: Famous for its incredibly fine marbling, buttery tenderness, and elevated levels of monounsaturated fats that contribute to a melt-in-your-mouth eating experience.
By crossing Wagyu and Angus, we achieve the ideal balance: the exceptional marbling and tenderness of Wagyu paired with the robust flavor, efficiency, and adaptability of Angus. The result is beautifully marbled, naturally tender beef with a rich, authentic taste — all raised 100% on grass.
We never use added hormones — ever.
When it comes to antibiotics, the health and welfare of our animals always come first. While we strive to raise our cattle naturally and maintain robust herd health through good nutrition and low-stress management, there are rare occasions when an animal may require antibiotics to recover from an illness or injury. In those cases, we use them carefully, responsibly, and under veterinary guidance.
We strictly follow all withdrawal periods — the time required for any medication to fully clear the animal’s system — ensuring that no beef from treated animals contains antibiotic residues. This means that by the time our cattle are harvested, all antibiotics have been metabolized and are no longer present in the meat.
Our commitment is to the well-being of our animals and the peace of mind of our customers. You can trust that every cut of beef we offer is raised naturally, safely, and with integrity.
All of our cattle are carefully processed by Den Boon Meats Ltd, a family-owned and operated butcher in Monarch, Alberta. They share our commitment to quality and handle every cut with care, following strict provincial inspection standards to ensure your beef is safe, fresh, and ready for your table.
SHOPPING WITH US
We’re not a traditional brick-and-mortar store — we’re a small, family-run ranch, and every order is handled personally by us. Our online catalogue makes it easy to browse and reserve products — from our premium grass-fed beef to ranch equipment and other quality ranch goods. You can add everything you’d like to your cart and place your order online.
For our beef products: Because every cut of beef can vary slightly in weight, we don’t take online payments. When you place your order, you’re reserving your selections. Once your order is packed and ready, you’ll pick it up right here at the ranch and pay in person. This way, you only pay for the exact weight you receive — no guessing, no overpaying, and full transparency.
For equipment and other quality ranch goods: These items are also picked up at the ranch, but their prices are fixed — so your total won’t change. Payment for these items is also completed when you arrive for pickup.
Because we’re a working ranch, we don’t keep regular store hours. Instead, you’ll select a pickup time at checkout using our scheduling tool. Choose the slot that works best for you, and we’ll have your order packed, labeled, and ready when you arrive.
We love being able to meet our customers face-to-face — it’s one of the best parts of what we do. When you pick up your order, you’ll see exactly where your beef comes from and connect directly with the people who raised it. Thank you for supporting local ranching and being part of our community!
We accept cash and payment using Interac debit or credit card via SQUARE.
